Educational Tools
Educational tools include lesson plans, online learning modules, and associated materials to help land use commissions understand and work through common challenges when discussing housing.
Each lesson plan can be downloaded and is designed to allow municipal staff or a third party to lead the lesson. Alternatively, each lesson will be available as an online learning module which commissioners can review on their own time (coming soon!). Lesson 1 - Community Visioning
This lesson, ideal for municipal commissions, will help participants understand the purpose and process of creating comprehensive vision plans (in CT, this is our Plan of Conservation & Development), the relationship between the vision plan and zoning, and an understand of the steps in creating a vision plan.
